All of the spacious and nicely fitted and decorated rooms are equipped with air conditioning (hot/cold), LED TV, direct dial telephone, bathroom with a walk in shower, comfortable furniture, kitchenette with refrigerator, safe deposit box and double-glazed windows and doors.   “A great place to stay”

  We stayed for two weeks in May and had a fabulous time.
  Everybody at the hotel, from managers to bar staff and cleaners were ultra-friendly and made us both feel so very welcome, such a nice and friendly bunch of people, always with a smile on their faces.

  The hotel is not too big, the rooms are spacious and very well equipped with nice modern furniture and fttings and the cleanliness is superb. The beds were changed regularly, the rooms cleaned every day and I cannot fault them at all. We were lucky in that we had a huge balcony, though some that we saw were a lot smaller, but as there were lots of sunbeds around the pool and on the beach I don’t think that should be a problem.

  Talking of the beach, which is one of the best in the area, they have a lovely bar there that serves drinks and good value food all day, the sunbeds are free and it is all within a few steps from the hotel.
  The only thing wrong was that you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach, though this will not be the case when the new by-pass opens, hopefully next year. There is plenty of parking and this is the other thing, as there are no shops or restaurants, you will need a car to get around. I didn’t see many local buses, though to be fair we weren’t looking as we had a hire car for the whole two weeks which we were really glad of. So bus services may be worth checking out if you are staying for a while.

  We went half board which was perfect for us, the food was good and tasty home cooking, and we had 4 courses every night, with waitress service, no queue up and serve yourself here, all freshly prepared and piping hot.
  We ate outside every night and with a litre of good wine only being around 11 euros, what more could you want.
  The lorries going by at 7pm was annoying at first, but after a couple of nights we didn’t notice them, but it was only for a short while as they were coming from the docks, but as I said, this will stop when the new by-pass opens.

  The hotel is also ideally suited to sightseeing as it is handy for so many places from Palm studded beaches, to Minoan settlements, local markets, pretty towns and stunning scenery.

  The small kitchenette, which was stored within a closed unit came in really handy, particularly the fridge.
  The only negative with the room was the TV, in that there was only one channel that showed English speaking American programmes in the evening, and the 15 minutes of adverts throughout drove us mad. I guess in the UK we are spoilt.

  All in all we had a fabulous time, the staff were brilliant, the hotel spotlessly clean, the food great, the room perfect, I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

  Hotel was situated right on the water (actually, right across the street). Hotel had a pool which was great on the one day that it was a bit too windy to swim in the sea. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel had its own restaurant with excellent home-style cuisine and very inexpensive pricing. Swimming was great. Situated about 5 – 10 minute drive from centre of Agios Nikolaos, so close enough to visit the city, but far enough removed so it wasn’t noisy at night.

  Уважаемые туристы! Данный отель очень часто путают с отелем Phaedra Beach Hotel 3*, который находится в Малии. Как минимум 3 из 5 на данный момент отзывов по Faedra Beach 4* не соответствуют действительности, т.к. относятся именно к этому отелю. Не дайте себя сбить с толку!

  Теперь по отелю. Несомненные плюсы отеля:

  -Красивое и удобное место расположения (залив Мирабелло, 3 км от Агиос-Николаоса). Час-полтора если добираться от порта Ираклиона.

  -Очень чистый пляж (от отеля его сами убирают), полностью песчаный. Вход в воду плавный, камней нет – для детей и пожилых людей очень удобно. Море действительно чистое, как в принципе и везде на Крите. В середине июля вода теплая, кстати. Около 23-24 градусов, по ощущениям.

  -Отель недавно ремонтировался (я бы сказал, 3 года назад, максимум). Состояние номеров на 5+. Вся мебель новенькая, вообще без следов эксплуатации (чего иной раз не скажешь про дорогие 5звезд в Турции). Надо сказать, следят за чистотой и убираются по всему отелю на отлично – везде ни соринки ни пылинки. В номере уборкой мы были довольны, оставляли чаевые.

  -У 8 номеров (из 20-30, примерно) окна с балконами выходят на море. У нас был такой номер – вид очень красивый. Общались с людьми, которым достались другие номера, – им все нравилось, да и вид сильно роли не играет, на мой взгляд. Внутри отеля есть небольшой дворик с прямо зарослями растительности, цветами, бананами! (см. Фото). Это явно освежает вид. Номера – студия. В номерах есть кухня, опять же удобно для тех, кто с детьми. Телевизор есть, но мы даже не включали. Кондиционер тоже есть, без него было бы тяжко.

  -Очень дружелюбный и заботливый персонал. В день заезда мы приехали с трансфера из Ираклиона довольно поздно (22-30), но нам ПОЗАБОТИЛИСЬ оставить еду, и обслужили по полной программе в ресторане отеля. Это очень понравилось. Из персонала особенно понравились женщины на ресепшн, а также один официант – очень услужливый и вежливый. По-русски в отеле правда говорит лишь один человек, но на английском все понимают прекрасно (учите люди английский, раз за границу собрались!)

  -Приятная обстановка в отеле в течение всего дня. Спокойно. Порадовало, что ужин проходит в формате ресторана (приносят меню, еда включена в стоимость, напитки за свой счет), а не шведским столом. Это добавляет шарма и изысканности. Ресторан прямо на улице перед отелем (см. Фото). Через дорогу стоит кафе Faedra-beach – продолжение отеля. Но ужин только в отеле.

  

  Из незначительных минусов:

  – Еда не отличалась особенным разнообразием. В отеле есть BB и HB, без AI. У большинства (и у нас) был HB. На завтрак список блюд особо не меняется – нескольких видов хлопья, яичница, бекон, хлеб, нарезка сыра и колбас, творог, соки (типа юппи), чай-кофе, джем, мед, и т.д.. С другой стороны – на завтрак много и не надо. На ужине разнообразие получше – был барашек, морепродукты, рыба, свинина, курица, котлетки и т.п.. Ужин – греческий салат, первый и второй курс блюд (2 блюда на выбор в каждом курсе), десерт. Готовят все вкусно – мы съедали все подчистую. Порции, однако, не назвать большими – нам было мало, хотя и едим обычно немного. Часть оставшихся с ужина продуктов можно видеть на завтрак, иногда в более вкусном другом виде – что в принципе вполне нормально для маленького отеля и даже хорошо. Единственное резко критическое замечание по еде – слишком много и часто на ужине картофель-фри! Гораздо лучше, вкуснее, и увы реже, они делают что-либо другое на гарнир.

  

  Дополнительно:

  – В общем, впечатления по отелю исключительно положительные – мы ожидали, что похуже будет, и были очень обрадованы, как все на самом деле оказалось. Отель для 4 звезд оправдал себя на все 5 баллов.

  – Пляж находится через дорогу от отеля. Нам это никак не помешало – до воды даже с дорогой от отеля всего 20 метров. Другие постояльцы, однако, жаловались на это обстоятельство. Движение не оживленное (хотя трасса федеральная). Стоит отметить, лишь у некоторых отелей на Крите есть собственные пляжи. У всех остальных пляжи не собственные, а муниципальные, и расположены они, как правило, через дорогу от отелей. Только вот, идти до такого пляжа можно долго, а на нашем пляже, поскольку он близко, можно и с вином вечером полежать на лежаках.

   

  – По кондиционеру: включенным в свое отсутствие его не оставишь, так что придется с жарой смириться. Разве что, можно вытащить из брелка ключа магнит, который электрическую цепь замыкает, и оставить его в номере. Персонал, правда, это ухищрение замечает и потом заставляет краснеть на стойке ресепшн, когда за магнитом идешь новым.

  – У отеля, хотя он и маленький, есть развлекательная программа. На наш приезд выпало шоу Фламенко, которое нам очень понравилось.

  – В отеле можно взять машину, цена (а мы сравнивали с городскими в Агиос-Николаосе) очень приемлемая – 45 евро/сутки за небольшую машинку с механикой. Автомат от 65. Очень порадовало, что при аренде в любом агентстве в конце оставляешь авто прямо у отеля, а ключи на ресепшн. Ехать сдавать его никуда не надо!

  – Объездили северное, восточное и южное побережье – наш пляж самым лучшим оказался! Исключение – пляж в Vai, но там лежаки платные, и он далеко не в самом удобном для туристов месте. В заливе Мирабелло, кстати, море не везде одинаково спокойное – на нашем пляже оно было спокойным, хотя на другой стороне залива прямо скажем штормило.
